Privacy Policy

Terra ("the app", available at laterra.app and as a mobile app) is an educational 3D simulator. This policy describes what data we handle and how.

Data we collect

• No account required. The simulator works fully without signing up. No analytics trackers, no advertising, no third-party tracking of any kind.
• Optional account. If you create one: your email address and a hashed password (bcrypt). Used only for authentication.
• Community observations. If you post an observation: the photo, text and coordinates you choose to submit. They are public by design.
• Terra Tutor chat. Messages you send to the tutor are forwarded to Anthropic's API to generate a reply. See Anthropic's privacy policy. We do not use your conversations for anything else.

Storage

Data is stored on our server hosted in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). Authentication uses a JWT token kept in your browser's local storage.

Payments

All features are currently free. If paid tiers return, payments would be processed by Stripe; we never see or store card numbers.

Your rights

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. EU users have the rights provided by the GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, portability).

Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not knowingly collect personal data from children.
